Updating altell towers

I am a little bit of a gadget junkie so a cool phone was mildly important. Maybe they vary from city to city but the customer service and tech support at the store I visited was far superior to anything I have received from AT&T. Well, I ordered a Blackberry Storm on e Bay on Friday in hopes of being able to activate the phone on the Alltel network (the Storm has only been released on Verizon in the United States).

Verizon and Sprint use what is called a CDMA network.

I did not terminate my contract they did by selling to AT&T and not giving me service I signed up for. They didn't want the equipment back but they sent me a bill.

They would not even tell me when my contract expires. I called Alltel and they said I had to pay the termination fee and if I didn't they would just turn it over to a collection agency. On one of my bills, the phone was only $56.00 for the phone; on the overall bill, it's over $1,400.00.

To ensure your wireless service works as well as possible, updating your phone when traveling is recommended. After your AT&T wireless phone reboots, it will be automatically updated to local towers.

Updating your AT&T wireless phone to local towers is a simple process. Call, text or surf the Web while bouncing off local towers.

I was in the store for more than 2 hours due to the incompetence of Jonathan as well as the managers.

I tried to use my phone once I got home about 2 and a half hours later and it did not work. This is usually when your cell phone provider is building new towers or you find yourself getting poor service in places you use to get good service.Dial *228 and then press option 2 on your Verizon cell phone. You will hear music to confirm that the new PRL is downloading.Call customer service and get approved for a PRL update if you are using Sprint. This might seem unnecessary with the Verizon/Alltel purchase deal looming, but I prefer my Alltel plan to the Verizon plans available, especially with the My Circle feature.
