Speed Dating is a scary story about a man who wants to find true love, but can’t find a woman that lives up to his expectations. My mother kept asking me when I was going to find myself a nice girl and settle down. The event was being held at a fashionable bar in the city center.I assured her it was only a matter of time, but I knew that was a lie. All of my friends were already married and some of them even had kids. I dressed in my best shirt and pants, splashed some aftershave on my neck and left the house.

We were married in July of 2013 and had our first baby in June of this past year.

I called in sick to work to attend the event, and he reluctantly went after his sister purchased a ticket for him. He didn't seem anxious, he was extroverted and very funny.

When I reached the bar, I walked in, trying to project an air of confidence. The women all sat around at separate tables, while the men moved from table to table, spending three minutes talking to each woman.

I was shocked when I saw how many other people had shown up. When the buzzer sounded, it meant your three minutes were up and it was time to move on. We are going to go on more speed dating together and hang out together as a group Britt (Detroit, May 2017) I wanted to say I had a great time with speed dating. We all exchanged numbers with each other and we have all been talking to each other Everyday!!Armed with my Broadminded recording equipment, a large glass of Pinot Noir and Allie by my side, I was ready to begin my quest to find "The One". It was just like a conveyor belt, which was fitting, since Allie and I felt like Lucy and Ethel, but instead of delicious gourmet chocolates speeding past us, we had Milk Duds. I've had my radio show for over six years and can talk to anybody -- or so I thought. In some cases 90 seconds felt like three, but in most cases, 90 seconds felt like an eternity. 189" from Chicago who couldn't wait to tell me he was a lawyer.
